Michael R. Murray,
President
Michael is a veteran of Kansas politics beginning with his first campaign job in 1968 when Congressman
Bob Dole first ran for the US Senate. He has managed numerous political campaigns for mayor, state
representative, state senate, governor and US House of Representatives. He served as the Chief of Staff
to Kansas Third District Congresswoman Jan Meyers during her 12 years in Congress.
Murray has been a Kansas lobbyist since 1997 beginning with Sprint and continuing with Embarq. In 2010 he opened his own contact lobbying practice, Capitol Advantage, LLC.
The firm's current clients include NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the Kansas Roofing Association, Promptcare, Brightspeed, the Kansas State Nurses Association and NextEra Energy Transmission Southwest.

Karin Brownlee
Government Affairs Consultant
Karin served 14 years in the Kansas Senate representing Olathe and southwest Johnson County. Her major accomplishments were sponsoring the STAR bond incentives to attract the Kansas Speedway, Enhanced 911, Kansas Economic Growth Act and numerous other economic development projects including the Edgerton Intermodal.She also served as Secretary of Labor under Gov Brownback. Karin has been active in Olathe in Rotary Club, Boys & Girls Club advisory board and K-State Olathe advisory board and numerous other groups.
Karin co-chaired the JOCO Research Triangle campaign which led to the creation of K-State Olathe, KU Med Center’s NCI designation and KU Edwards Campus BEST building and programs. Karin was elected as an at-large member of Olathe City Council in 2017 for one four year term.
